 The primary function of the Branch Transfer Coordinator is to coordinate and ship all internal transfers to other branches.

Responsibilities

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Maintain a branch truck schedule to ensure that all branches receive transferred inventory in adequate time to serve the customers • Pull a query report to gather all open transfers and forward to branch point of contact, update before truck leaves to ensure accuracy • Point of contact between branch heads and operation manager to ensure correct inventory is in each truck • Create a shipped transfer report that summarizes the loaded truck and forward to the receiving branch • Locate and log product received • Enter information into warehouse management software system • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Graduation from High School or GED equivalent, one (1) year of relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities. • Minimum 2 years’ experience coordinating shipping and receiving throughout multiple locations. • Must be customer oriented and motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong communication skills are critical as this position is in constant contact with both customers and other employees located at all branches and departments of the company. • Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time constraints and strict deadlines. • Strong working knowledge of PC environment and MS Office programs. • Detail oriented with the ability to record and maintain accurate records and documentation. • Experience with Harris Data Systems a plus. • Ability to pass background check and drug screen. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to work well with all levels of employees within the company and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external employees to make an accurate assessment of needs. Ability to speak, read and hear English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze employee technical problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate level knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software. ATTENDANCE DEMANDS: The attendance demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Working schedule will be 40 hours a week and should primarily be between 8 am to 4:30 pm. However, these hours may vary at times based upon staffing needs of the accounting department. Employee may be required to work overtime, and occasional Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
