This position will be primarily responsible for maintaining the branch and manufacturing/production facility in a clean and orderly condition. 7 am to 3:30 pm M-F

Responsibilities

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Maintains and cleans all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. • Collects and disposes of paper and rubbish. • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects. • Cleans, monitors and maintains restrooms, meeting rooms, sales counter, corridors, offices and other assigned areas. • Empties trash receptacles for proper disposal. • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaners and equipment. • Replenishes paper products, soap and other supplies as needed. • Follows housekeeping schedule outlined by the immediate supervisor. • Use of cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, vacuums and buffers. • Carry out heavy cleaning tasks, minor repairs and special projects as needed. • Follow health regulations. • Monitors and notifies management of deficiencies or needed repairs. • Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle salt on surfaces as needed. • Communicate and coordinate with staff and management in a timely manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or GED. • 3 + years’ janitorial experience. • Ability to perform general cleaning tasks using cleaning equipment and tools. • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and management. • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements. • Excellent attendance record required. • Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees within the organization. Ability to speak, read and hear English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral or written form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills. ATTENDANCE DEMANDS: The attendance demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Attendance is required Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. or within normal business hours as established by the supervisor. Employee may be required to work overtime, and occasional Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
